Songtext von Laura's Song

I was working at a bar A twenty-four year-old saving for a new guitar I was late for our first date So I promised you that I would finally graduate Funny how a moment could start out small And when we look back it's the biggest of them all Every happy birthday, each fork in the road I can't wait to see us when we get old I remember driving up to Brussels for you The cold December thinking you're too good to be true You don't even try But you always make me, always make me Time is flying by But you always make me, always make me Smile Remember when I heard the news And I realized everything I had to lose We didn't have to speak at all When you held my hand crying at a funeral Funny how a moment could start out small And when we look back it's the biggest of them all Every happy birthday, each fork in the road I can't wait to see us when we get old I remember driving up to Brussels for you The cold December thinking you're too good to be true You don't even try But you always make me, always make me Time is flying by But you always make me, always make me Smile Don't you know you're my best friend We're having so much fun I hope it never has to end You don't even try But you always make me, always make me Time is flying by But you always make me, always make me Smile
