Songtext von Onward Christian Soldiers

We are your salvation army Laying down our weapons Marching in to battle Scarred and broken, we are You kingdom not an empire Burning with your fire We were born to love and to war Onward christian soldiers We're laying down our lives We're lifting jesus high Together we are stronger We're giving up our lives So let the church arise On our shoulders we will carry The wounded from the wreckage Crowns and thrones will perish But you remain, we live for Justice not for honour Your church will stand forever We were born to love and to war Onward christian soldiers We're laying down our lives We're lifting jesus high Together we are stronger We're giving up our lives So let the church arise We're crying out For peace on earth We're on our knees For peace on earth Let every nation sing Of jesus christ our king The saints go marching In we're singing let god arise Onward christian soldiers Onward christian soldiers Onward christian soldiers We're laying down our lives We're lifting jesus high Together we are stronger We're giving up our lives So let the church arise The saints go marching in The saints go marching in
