Songtext von In the Dark

Toys scattered on the floor Shadows move across the dark Eyes wide open, I can't sleep Something in the night tries to take me I close my eyes, I try to deny But the darkness always comes back I hear footsteps coming for me And the fear begins to rise In the dark, something comes to find me Invisible hands try to grab me No light, I cannot run away The shadows come to consume me Oh-oh-oh, don't let the light go out Oh-oh-oh, I can't take it now I grew up, but the fear never left In the silence, something follows me The dark holds nothing to protect me And it still knows what I dread I close my eyes, I try to deny But the darkness always comes back I hear footsteps coming for me And the fear begins to rise In the dark, something comes to find me Invisible hands try to grab me No light, I cannot run away The shadows come to consume me Oh-oh-oh, don't let the light go out Oh-oh-oh, I can't take it now The room shrinks, the scream is real Childhood returns in mortal fear No escape, no forgiveness near The monster waits in the dark, it's here In the dark, something comes to find me Invisible hands try to grab me No light, I cannot run away The shadows come to consume me Oh-oh-oh, the dark calls for me Oh-oh-oh, I'll never run free
