Songtext von Looking For America

I was the eyes of the nation, their man on the ground In the heat of the action, wherever it was found Living on the frontline, bringing home the news With God on our side we could never ever lose Looking for america Looking for america Hitched a ride with a sweet sixteen Prettiest thing I have ever seen Set up in the back seat and whispered my goodbyes Then she lit up and took me to the skies Looking for america Looking for america Stars they were shining like diamonds in the night When the lights of new york city rose on my right And the eastern seaboard simmered in the heat I shed a tear and started rocking rocking rocking rocking rocking to the beat Looking for america Looking for america Looking for america Looking for america America
