Songtext von Almost

The sun is setting on the shore Now this day is done Got used to you this close to me And keeping me warm This sadness keeps me company As soon as you're gone All the promises we made That we never dreamed we'd break [Chorus:] I'll forget everything I knew Almost a perfect life with you Memories shine and fade away We were so close, we were almost Until the darkness turns to light I'll get through today but not tonight Almost a perfect life with you We were so close, we were almost I know I must move on from here Don't think of the past Sometimes there's no amount of love That can make it last All the feelings that we shared That we'll never have again [Chorus] So this is me letting you go And now I've got no one to run to We'll always know we were so close We were almost [Chorus]
